CommunicAsia 2009 Expo
Comms Connect attended the CommunicAsia 2009 trade show in Singapore in late June to coincide with PortaOne's exhibition at the show. The booth successfully displayed the solutions provided by PortaOne and helped in gaining the interest of prospective service providers as well as existing customers.
CommunicAsia is a major telecom expo in the Asia-Pacific region which also attracts international exhibitors and visitors, displaying a complete convergence of technology in an industry experiencing unprecedented change.

Plantronics Uses NET's VX Series Unified Communications Gateway to VoIP-Enable a Pan-European Collaboration
Plantronics, a world leader in lightweight communications headsets, is using NET's VX Series Unified Communications Gateway to VoIP-enable a pan-European collaboration environment based on Microsoft OCS 2007.
Plantronics had an existing OCS environment as a prototype for customers who wished to deploy voice solutions with MS OCS, and who needed a headset that would support it. The ability of the VX Series to link to MS OCS within an existing PBX infrastructure provides Plantronics' headset users the freedom of headset telephony with VoIP integration.

PortaOne, MERA Systems Announce Interoperability Of MVTS Pro And PortaBilling100
PortaOne and MERA Systems have successfully completed interoperability testing for two of the companies' key VoIP network products: MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch Pro (MVTS Pro) and PortaBilling 100. The two products provide high-performance scalability as an end-to-end platform to handle VoIP transit traffic.
MVTS Pro is MEra Systems' class 4 softswitch and session border controller platform, designed to fit a carrier's demands for scalability, redundancy and protocol support. With the ability to process up to 1000 new calls per second, the product provides carriers with elaborate analysis tools for network control and resolution of quality of service (QoS) problems.

P107-09-00 Tenor Software Released
Quintum is pleased to announce the general availability of P107 software across the Tenor product line.
Software release version P107-09-00 for Tenor AS, AF, AX, BX, DX, DXi, CMS, Call Relay 60, Call Relay SP, and Gatekeeper+ is now available for download. Additionally, a new release of the Configuration Manager, version CM107-06-00, is also available. Instructions for obtaining new releases may be found at the Quintum Support web site.
Users of the Configuration Manager who are planning on upgrading any of their Tenors to P107 should also upgrade the Configuration Manager software at the same time. This upgrade is required in order to support new features, and is backward compatible with all earlier releases of Tenor software for a smooth migration across your network.
This is the initial release of the P107 feature set. Please consult the P107-09-00 Release Notes for information on enhancements and fixes in this release.
